Terms of Service
These terms describe the agreement between you and Pep Reviews when you use the site, request a review, or purchase a completed review.
Last updated July 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Pep Tech Studios, LLC, doing business as Pep Reviews ("Pep Reviews," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of pep.reviews and the related review service (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, submitting a review request, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Pep Reviews provides
Pep Reviews provides candid, first-impression reviews of customer-submitted landing pages, web apps, mobile apps, native apps, and related product experiences. Depending on the selected offering, a review may include a private recorded video, written summary, rubric, transcript, timestamped action items, or an optional follow-up call.
Each review reflects one person's honest reaction at a particular point in time. It is not a guarantee of product quality, business performance, conversion, accessibility, security, legal compliance, market demand, or any specific result. A review is not a substitute for professional security testing, accessibility certification, legal advice, or formal user research.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share an account in a way that compromises security or use another person's account without permission.
3. Review requests and customer responsibilities
When you submit a product for review, you represent and agree that:
- you own the submitted product and materials or have permission to provide access to them for review;
- the URLs, install links, context, credentials, and other instructions you provide are accurate and may lawfully be used for the requested review;
- you will use test accounts containing fake data and the minimum permissions necessary;
- you will not provide production credentials, payment credentials, sensitive customer data, protected health information, government identifiers, or other information that creates unnecessary risk;
- the requested access and recording will not violate another person's privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, employment, or contractual rights; and
- you will promptly revoke temporary test access after the review if it is no longer needed.
You grant Pep Reviews a limited, non-exclusive license to access, use, display, and record the materials you submit only as reasonably necessary to perform, deliver, secure, and support the requested review. You retain ownership of your product and customer-provided materials.
We may decline, pause, or cancel a request if access is unsafe, unlawful, outside the stated scope, technically unavailable, or materially different from what was submitted. If we cannot perform a requested review, we will not charge you for that review.
4. Privacy and confidentiality
Review requests and completed review materials are private by default. Pep Reviews may share them with service providers as needed to operate and deliver the Service, but will not intentionally publish a customer's submission, testimonial, or review recording without the applicable customer permission.
The Service is not designed to receive trade secrets or regulated data. Do not submit information that requires a separate nondisclosure agreement or industry-specific data protection unless we have expressly agreed to those terms in writing before submission. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Review timing and delivery
Any duration shown for a review describes the approximate length of the recorded deliverable, not a guaranteed turnaround time. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, delivery dates are estimates. Technical problems, unavailable test access, product changes, or incomplete instructions may delay or prevent a review.
You are responsible for reviewing delivery notices and keeping your account email current. We may use third-party video or storage providers to deliver recordings. Access to a third-party link may also be subject to that provider's availability and terms.
6. Prices, checkout, and payment
The price quoted when you submit a request or open checkout is the price for the selected review, subject to any valid promotion code or correction of an obvious pricing error. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars unless shown otherwise.
Pep Reviews completes the selected review before requesting payment. When all selected reviews in an order are ready, you may complete a single Stripe Checkout to unlock them. Stripe processes payment details, billing information, invoices, saved payment methods, promotion codes, and refunds. By completing checkout, you authorize Stripe and Pep Reviews to process the displayed charge.
A promotion code may reduce an amount, including to zero, but does not create a separate service tier or change these Terms. Pep Reviews does not currently sell subscriptions.
7. Refunds
After paying for a completed review, you may submit feedback and request a refund through the Service. Refund requests are reviewed individually and are not automatically approved. We may ask for additional context and may approve a full refund, a partial refund, or no refund, subject to applicable law.
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method. Timing after approval depends on Stripe and your financial institution. A refund does not necessarily remove access to an already delivered review. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable refund or consumer right provided by applicable law.
8. Testimonials and public review permission
Testimonials are optional. If you affirmatively permit publication, you grant Pep Reviews a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, and promote the specific materials covered by your permission. Depending on the choices presented to you, those materials may include your testimonial, public name, product or company, headshot, X profile, completed review recording, rubric, summary, action items, and transcript.
You represent that you have the rights needed to provide and authorize those materials. You may change or withdraw publication permission through the Service. We will stop displaying the affected material within a reasonable time, although removal may not immediately eliminate copies already cached, indexed, lawfully shared, or included in materials created while permission was active.
We may edit a testimonial for formatting or length without materially changing its meaning, and we may decline or remove any testimonial or public review. We will not purchase fake testimonials or require a positive statement.
9. Ownership and use of review deliverables
Pep Reviews and its licensors retain ownership of the Service, site, branding, review formats, and original review deliverables. After any required payment is completed, we grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide license to view, download where supported, copy, and use your delivered review for your own internal product work and marketing.
You may not resell a review as a standalone product, remove ownership notices, falsely attribute statements to Pep Reviews or Jesse Peplinski, materially alter a review in a misleading way, or use it to imply an endorsement beyond the statements actually made. Any use of third-party names, products, or content remains subject to the rights of their respective owners.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- violate law or another person's rights;
- submit content or access credentials you are not authorized to provide;
- harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or harm another person;
- upload malware or interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
- probe, scan, or test systems without authorization;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or automate access except as permitted by law or us;
- circumvent access controls, payment requirements, or usage limits; or
- use the Service or a review to create a misleading endorsement or deceptive claim.
11. Third-party services and links
The Service may depend on or link to third-party products, including customer-submitted products, Stripe, video providers, profile links, and scheduling services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party products, content, availability, security, or practices. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete eligible pending requests through your account and contact us to request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, misuse the Service, fail to pay an amount properly due, or if continued operation is no longer practical.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limitations, dispute terms, and licenses granted for materials published while permission was active—will survive.
13. Changes and interruptions
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. We do not guarantee that the Service or any third-party delivery link will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may correct errors in descriptions, prices, or availability.
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date identifies the current version. If a change materially affects existing users, we will provide additional notice when required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
14. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND REVIEW DELIVERABLES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." PEP REVIEWS DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT A REVIEW WILL IDENTIFY EVERY ISSUE, MATCH THE VIEWS OF YOUR USERS, OR PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR BUSINESS OR PRODUCT OUTCOME.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEP REVIEWS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR A REVIEW, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PEP REVIEWS DURING THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pep Reviews, Pep Tech Studios, LLC, and their owners, employees, and agents from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your submitted materials, your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. We will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and may control its defense.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, you and Pep Reviews agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days after written notice.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under the rules applicable to the dispute. Arbitration may take place through written submissions, by phone, online, or in Onondaga County, New York, as allowed by the applicable rules and law. Claims may not be brought as a class, collective, or representative action to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Either party may bring an eligible claim in small-claims court or seek injunctive relief for unauthorized use, privacy violations, or intellectual-property infringement. If a claim is not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to the state or federal courts with jurisdiction over Onondaga County, New York. Nothing in this section removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
18. General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Pep Reviews regarding the Service unless we both sign a separate written agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
